Swiftly rising through the ranks, she earned her stripes and became a staff RN in the Labor & Delivery unit upon graduation.
For those who brought new life into the world at MCH, Haylie was often the first face they encountered, her radiant smile a beacon of warmth. Her infectious laughter and vibrant personality left an indelible mark on both patients and fellow nurses, making her a magnetic presence in the hospital. On the somber Friday, October 13, an Honor Walk was held to pay tribute to Haylie.
The hospital staff formed a solemn corridor from the ICU to the Operating Room, acknowledging her dedicated service and the life-saving legacy she leaves behind. Haylie’s decision to be an organ donor speaks volumes about her selflessness, as her organs now serve as beacons of hope for numerous lives. While her physical presence may be absent, Haylie’s spirit permeates the very walls of MCH and extends beyond, embodied in the lives she has saved through organ donation. Yet, the void she leaves behind is palpable, a poignant reminder of a life cut short. Haylie lived a life of profound purpose, exemplifying true servitude.
